If you're looking for some fantastic fried fish tacos, then you've come to the right place. The Cole slaw offered a refreshing crunch factor with some acidity from the lime juice. We also shared the fried clams - my first time eating something like this and it reminded me of the fried calamari with the head/body pieces. Lastly, get the pitcher of beer! It's $15 and they have a few options to choose from.
Amazing food and view! Friend and I ordered the Fried Pickles, Shrimp Po'boy, and 2 Salmon Tacos, a bottled water and a strawberry lemonade. Around $49 and worth it! Everything was super good. The pickles were super crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and paired very nicely with the dipping sauce it comes with. The tacos had huge pieces of salmon on it and were very flavorful. The shrimp on the po'boy were big as well!
I eat here every time I visit Mendocino. The food is amazing and it doesn't take long to arrive!
Hands down, it was one of the best fried oysters I have ever had. My friend agrees, and her boyfriend (who had the cold leftovers) agreed. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what happened to my original photo (I think I was still trying to figure out how to use the new update on yelp). The clam chowder was good. Also got the fish/shrimp and chips plate. The shrimps came a close second after the oysters with the fish being last (but still good) Great location. Easy parking with many spots across the streets. Got lucky and saw some sea lions too. Outdoor seating only, very pet friendly. Would recommend!
Very nice, casual restaurant in Noyo Harbor! I came here for a Friday lunch and had no wait, and there was plenty of outdoor seating around. The service was fast & friendly. There was a lovely view of the harbor, where we watched the sea lions and birds hang out. We ordered the Fish & Prawn Tacos, Clam Chowder, and a glass of beer. Everything was delicious! The clam chowder was my favorite of the area (I tried 2 other restaurants and they didn't match up to the flavor & creaminess of theirs!). My partner and I shared the tacos and we both preferred the Prawn Tacos. We felt the flavor of the prawns stood out a lot more! Will definitely be back when I'm in the area :) Loved the ambiance and had a great time watching the animals while enjoying our meal.
Amazing food. The fish and chips was light and crispy. Perfectly battered and fresh. The clam chowder was good. Very thick and rich but I was put off by the large chucks of celery. They were bigger than the bites of everything else. Sourdough was good and they use darigold butter. Service was pretty fast and all is outdoor seating. Order at the window, get a number for both take out or dine in, and then wait for the magic. Outdoor seating was nice if you found a good spot near the heating lamps. Otherwise eating outdoors in 40 degrees weather is not the greatest. Malt vinegar and lemon was perfect for the fish! Will be back!
Absolute GEM if you're in the Fort Bragg/Mendocino area. I came here with my family during a trip there and, despite the rain, we were fortunate to stop by such a good restaurant. Even though most of the seating was outside, the plastic covers and heating lamps made the cold and rain bearable. There were also sea lions right outside of our restaurants, super fun for kids! The service and food were outstanding for such a casual dining spot. The fried fish was some of the best I've ever tasted, comparable to the Pier 39 SF fish and chips. The clam chowder was seriously on point, including fresh sourdough bread. The servers and staff were incredibly kind and attended to our every need, making us feel welcome. I don't know what else to say except stop by Noyo Fish Company!
While visiting Mendocino with my boyfriend and our dog, I was on the hunt for a pet-friendly restaurant. After seeing so many positive reviews, we decided to check out Noyo. My boyfriend raved about the fish tacos, calling them some of the best he's ever had--and I completely agree. The seafood was incredibly fresh, lightly battered, and perfectly fried. The fried oysters were especially noteworthy, with a delightful texture and flavor. Overall, the food was flavorful, and we didn't find the fried items overly heavy. The restaurant also offers thoughtful touches like a free water station and condiments in the tented area. After placing our order at the counter and receiving a number from the server, we chose a seat. There's plenty of seating, both by the water and under the tent just outside the restaurant.
This is a delicious seafood stop in Noyo Harbor where you can find other businesses at the base of the highway. Narrow road down and feels industrial because it's near the coast guard too. We were lucky to sit by the water at the bar top area and saw an otter. We ordered the shrimp po boy and special fried oysters. The sandwich was expected and delicious and the oysters were hot and fresh and HUGE! The wonderful thing is that the oysters were in every bite , not a single bite was just breading. Recommend this stop if you're nearby and craving some seafood!
The fish and prawns combo was excellent! The fish and prawns were moist and meaty. The batter light, crispy and very flavorful and we could see it was even seasoned with dill up in there too. A great value with two pieces of fish, three prawns and fries for $18. It was enough for the two of us to share, and be full! The clam chowder was chock full of clams. Unfortunately, I picked up a metallic aftertaste that was a bit off putting. I'm assuming it was from the can the clams came in? Fast casual on the water. We got to see the boats and kayakers passing by and the harbor sea lions sunbathing too.
